Sajedul Huq is an educator. He has been teaching at the tertiary level both in Bangladesh and Thailand for the past twenty years. He is currently teaching English at the Chiang Mai University, English department, in Thailand. He is the former Director of the Center for Language Studies, at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, where he taught from 2010 till 2019; first in the English department then at the CLS. Prior to joining ULAB, he taught for three years at Chiang Mai University. He was also one of the very first faculties to join the BRAC University English department when the university was launched in 2000. He taught at BU till 2008, before joining CMU.

His corporate teaching experiences include, teaching English for journalists at BDNews24.com, the largest and foremost news agency in Bangladesh, teaching English for Banking, a tailored academic writing course designed for Senior Economists at the National Bank of Thailand, Northern Region, as well as business writing for BRAC Bank executives.

He is Cambridge Certified English language teacher and IELTS Writing Examiner/Certified IBT TOEFL Administrator, with two decades of experience in English Language Teaching in Bangladesh and Thailand. Capable of teaching varied styles of writing, which include academic, technical, and Business. He is analytical, critical thinker capable of clarifying and communicating complex ideas. Strong multi-cultural focus coupled with ability to relate to diverse groups. Experienced public speaker with peer reviewed papers an experience in hosting international conferences. Articulate, creative a persuasive writer. Possess leadership and managerial experience. Experience in material development and curriculum design.

As an academic, Sajedul Huq has the distinction of being the convener of the very first international conference on English for Specific Purposes in Bangladesh in 2018, as well the convener and host of the only national conference on the role of graphic novels and comics in academia, in 2015. He was also convener and host of the largest ELT Conference by any private university in Bangladesh, at the time in 2014, With Dr. Andy Curtiss, President of TESOL International as the keynote speaker. His interests are in English for specific purposes, graphic novels and comic books, Fantasy, as well as cross-cultural communication.
