Rafi Tasnim Rahman did her bachelors in Chemistry with a minor in Environmental Biology from United Arab Emirates University, Al-Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE. She did her masters in MSc. Biotechnology from North South University, Dhaka Bangladesh. 

Currently, she is teaching at DPS STS School Dhaka – A’/O’ Levels Chemistry.  She was the lead teacher in senior section at American Standard International School A’/O’ Levels and IBDP Chemistry. She worked as a Graduate Researcher (Masters Student) – Biology Department, College of science, United Arab Emirates University. She was also a senior Residential Assistant at United Arab Emirates University Female Housing Department. She helped the students with their day-to-day affairs during their stay in the Female hostel. Not only that but also arranging regular activities, helping with the organisation of new student orientation, holding counseling sessions in the hostel complex, and providing emotional support in general. The job also entailed keeping a detailed record of the flow of students coming in and leaving the hostel complex daily and weekly)

Tasnim was also Level 3 IELTS instructor at Student Developments, UAE University, Women’s campus (September 2007 – December 2007).

Tasnim is very passionate about learning new language. Apart from English, Bengali she is a native speaker of Urdu and Hindi. She is a beginner at Arabic and can speak, read and write Korean. 

Tasnim says, “There’s something to be said about the naiveté of youth though. It is something I admire and draw inspiration from every day. Never met a challenge I didn’t like so chemistry and teenagers seemed like a great idea.”

She’s a teacher by trade and relentless pursuer of laughter by way of life, and believes in working smart, not hard.
