Ayesha Akter Munni has completed her M.A. and B.A. (Hons) in Applied Linguistics & ELT from Department of English, University of Dhaka. She had been trained in various teaching methods, syllabus and material design, lesson planning, testing and assessment techniques during her graduate and postgraduate courses.

Ayesha has always been interested in the vast field of teaching and learning pedagogy, especially in the context of Bangladesh. She has the intensive training and experience of planning lessons, designing materials and conducting classes as a part of her postgraduate courses. She is also interested in the areas of teaching methods, second language acquisition, testing, evaluation and assessment, and sociolinguistics. She has done research on the aspect of teaching grammar in tertiary level and written a paper titled “Learners’ perceptions and preferences of grammar teaching in their writing classes: a case study on first year English department students of Dhaka University”. 

Ayesha is also interested in extracurricular activities and has been engaged in many voluntary pursuits. She had been an active volunteer in most of the programs held by the Department of English, University of Dhaka. She has also worked many times as a volunteer in Hay Festival, Dhaka and Dhaka Lit Fest. Her outwardly manner and capability of working in any environment has enabled her to communicate easily with people.

Ayesha is very enthusiastic about cultural activities and she was an active member of Krishnachura, the cultural organization of Department of English, from 2014-2017. She participated in all the cultural events held by the organization.

One can consider Ayesha as an ardent traveller as she has the unquenchable curiosity and desire to explore the entire world. She has already travelled many places and is planning to check out more from her bucket list.
